Job Description
As an American Red Cross Instructor, you must ensure that clients understand the steps to save a life. Start your role with Household HQ as a basic CPR instructor and bridge through cross-training to become a more dynamic instructor. Other instructor growth opportunities include but are not limited to: First Aid for Severe Trauma Instructor, Basic Life Support Instructor, Life Threatening Bleeding and Tourniquet Application Instructor, Babysitter Training Instructor, CPR for Professional Rescuers Instructor, Emergency Medical Responder Instructor, and more! This role is per diem based due to the contract nature.

Pittsburgh Region
This position will cover the Pittsburgh area and approximately 50 miles surrounding the city. There may be a need for further travel for larger contracts within Western Pennsylvania from Erie to State College.
Compensation
Contract and Travel
Compensation for this role is contract based and consists of a per class and per student amount. For example the instructor would get X amount to teach a class and additional amount per student within that class. Travel expenses are available for travel outside of the instructor's regional responsibility. Contract rates can change based on the course taught.
Knowledge and Skills
Qualifications
Candidates should be an American Red Cross Instructor for CPR/First Aid/AED. Medical or Emergency Personnel are preferred but not required. Highly qualified candidates that do not have a current instructor certificate can be trained as apart of this role. Candidate must be able to pass background check to work in Pennsylvania schools. Must be at least 21 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
