The MIRA Safety CM‑3M Child Escape Respirator is a complete CBRN protection system designed for toddlers and children as young as 2 years old. Unlike traditional gas masks, the CM‑3M uses a positive-pressure hood system with a powered air‑purifying respirator (PAPR), making breathing effortless and ensuring a reliable seal without head straps.
 
The system includes a battery-powered blower that delivers 45 liters of filtered air per minute into the hood, allowing children to breathe comfortably even during extended emergencies. The lightweight hood features durable 4‑layer PVC/nylon construction and provides up to 240 minutes of protection against chemical warfare agents like mustard gas.
 
Equipped with a built-in hydration system, children can safely drink fluids without breaking the seal. The CM‑3M is powered by four CR123A batteries, providing 15–22 hours of continuous runtime. It comes with a carrier system: a back-mounted carrier for toddlers and a waist-mounted belt for older kids, ensuring a secure fit.
