JJ Wyatt
President, Z32 Armory & US Army Special Forces (Retired)
JJ started Z32 Armory to put his 25+ years of military service and experience to use. He retired after twenty-five years having served four years in the Marine Corps and twenty-one years in the Army. In the Corps he served in the infantry and as an instructor. Some of his certifications include Rappel Master, Fast-rope Master and Scout Swim Instructor. In the Army he served three years in a Scout Recon Platoon, four years in a Long Range Surveillance Company and two years as an Infantry Observer/Controller (Training Evaluator).
When the towers fell, JJ attended SFAS (Special Forces Assessment Selection) and after being selected he attended the SFQC (Special Forces Qualification Course). After graduating he spent the next six years in 3rd Special Forces Group followed by four years as an instructor in the SFQC. He served as an 18E (Special Forces Communication Sergeant) on a HALO team and a mountain team. Some of his certifications include Airborne School, HALO School, Static Line Master Jumpmaster, SERE, ILLRP Survival and Ranger School. JJ has deployed all over the world for combat and to train foreign military personnel. His deployments include The Gulf War, Bosnia, Kosovo, Albania, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Tonga, and many other places globally.
After retiring from the military, JJ served two years in Afghanistan as a contractor for the Special Operations community as a gunsmith/instructor. His role included teaching, fixing, and maintaining specialized weapon systems and equipment. Most recently Z32 Armory is working with Praetorian Defense to help train Federal Special Response Teams at the Headquarters and Tactical Team level. Some of the courses include foreign and non-standard weapons, tactics, mission planning, and leadership development.
