Kevin Makarewicz
American Red Cross Instructor
Kevin is currently working full-time in Campus Recreation at Gannon University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and his master's in Sport Management at SUNY Cortland. Kevin has been working in higher education for the past eight years. For the last four years, he has been teaching lifeguard and CPR courses.
Kevin's motivation for wanting to teach is that you never know when a situation might arise, and he wants to be prepared to react correctly when the time comes. He was fortunate to receive the training and was able to use it to help someone in need. Since that incident, Kevin knew that he wanted to be involved in teaching and helping others be prepared in case they need it.
